What can you expect of our Tapas Tour in Old Madrid?

Spaniards usually go to several tapas bars for dinner sharing different food dishes. We love doing tapas in old Madrid. Tapas Tour in Old Madrid is a must-do for locals and tourists.

Our tour starts at 12.30h or 7.00pm (depending on the tour option selected), at The Statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree (Puerta del Sol).

You will start the tour with a local guide expert in history and gastronomy to the most popular and best tapas bars in Madrid where locals go to eat their famous tapas as Iberian ham, Manchego cheese, Croquettes, Garlic shrimp, Fried cod (typical tapa from Madrid) Padron peppers, Bravas, Spanish omelet and so on. And of course, you will discover the importance of pork for Spanish culture. All the products we are going to try are of the highest quality, tapas bars selected for the best palates.

From there you will stroll through the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Villa (The Old City Council), San Miguel Market, Almudena Cathedral, Royal Palace, Plaza de Oriente, The Austrians Neighborhood, San Ginés church and much more.

During the tour, you will enjoy tapas in old Madrid, you will learn more about the history of Madrid and about the Spanish tapas tradition by asking what you want and at the same time enjoying the tour.

The tour lasts 4 hours and we will end up having a chocolate with churros in our last stop

In our culture, this is what we call “ir de tapas”. The idea of this tour is to make you feel like a truly “Madrileño” doing what the Spaniards do, go to several bars and try their drinks and tapas.
